Culture is very important in nursing practice. It is an integration of human knowledge, belief, and behavior知识、信念、行为的综合体 that guides people’s behavior in a specific group and influences the way people of a group respond to certain situations such as, when it comes to medicine, illness, treatment, recovery, and health maintenance and promotion. Awareness of and sensitivity to the unique health and illness beliefs and practices of people of different backgrounds are essential for the delivery of safe and effective care.
Main points of review may focus on the uniqueness and areas that are different from others, especially that of yours, that is, the meaning of practice and behavior and the application in their daily living. For example, the meaning of head nodding vary from one people to another.
