    Migrating and establishing a new life in another culture can have diverse health effects especially for women. This article explores the struggles and social adjustment issues that might constitute negatively to the health of West African migrant women living in Australia.
    Barriers to Clinical Research Participation Among African Americans

    Clinical research requires representation of racially and ethnically diverse participants to accurately represent the general population. Overall life expectancy of African Americans is shorter than that of the general U.S. population. Compared with the other ethnic groups in the United States, African Americans have higher rates of hypertension, stroke, obesity, and diabetes, and higher rates of mortality related to stroke and cancer.
    Anguish, Yearning, and Identity: Toward a Better Understanding of the Pregnant Hispanic Woman’s Prenatal Care Experience

    The purpose of this phenomenological study was to seek a better understanding of needs and access issues among pregnant, low-income Hispanic women. Hispanic women who attended a community prenatal education program participated in follow-up focus groups to explore their experiences regarding prenatal education, pregnancy resources, access to, and satisfaction with, the care available to them.
    Nursing Roles and Strategies in End-of-Life Decision Making Concerning Elderly Immigrants Admitted to Acute Care Hospitals: An Australian Study

    Measuring the cultural competence of nurses is becoming an increasingly important aspect to assess the quality care for individuals in multicultural populations such as Turkey.     There are only a few measures to assess quality of life among patients with liver disorders. The aim of this study was to determine the psychometric properties of the Liver Disease Symptom Index Version 2.0 (LDSI 2.0), a disease specific measure of health-related quality of life (HRQOL), in Persian-speaking patients with chronic hepatitis B.
    The Cultural and Linguistic Adaptation to Brazilian Portuguese and Content Validity of the Patient Expectations and Satisfaction With Prenatal Care Instrument

    Patient satisfaction reflects how an individual’s expectations, goals, and preferences are met by health care providers or services. Most research on patient expectations and satisfaction has been conducted in developed countries; there was no Portuguese language instrument to measure pregnant women’s expectations and satisfaction with prenatal care.
