Ear Disorders and Medications of the Adult Client

The ear is a sensory organ with dual functions – hearing and balance. Ear disorders are well related to these functions.
Review may focus on safety and nursing interventions for clients with impairment of hearing and on the nursing care related. Communicating with clients who are hearing impaired is also a priority. Emergency interventions for ear disorders and injuries are a priority point. Main points also focus on client instructions related to medication administration, sensory perceptual alterations and safety issues, and available support systems.
